Marshall at New Ulm
5 p.m., Tuesday, April 28

Arguably the toughest “small school” league in the state, the Big South Conference features three teams ranked in the top four in their respective classes (No. 3-2A Fairmont, No. 4-2A Marshall and No. 4-1A Windom Area), as well as No. 13-2A New Ulm. Two of those four teams go head-to-head Tuesday night when Marshall visits New Ulm.

New Ulm (3-4) hasn’t started the season the way it had hoped, as the Eagles are just 1-4 in conference and staring up at eight other teams. Marshall (7-1, 6-0) has already defeated New Ulm, winning at home 6-4 on April 20. Andrew Stewart was 1-for-2 with two RBI for New Ulm.

Marshall hasn’t lost to a Minnesota team yet, as its only loss was 2-1 to West Fargo (N.D.) on April 18.
