Anoka at Robbinsdale Armstrong
4:15 p.m., Thursday, April 30

Anoka leads a tightly-contested Northwest Suburban Conference race entering the final week of April, but five teams are within a game and a half of the Tornadoes, including Robbinsdale Armstrong.

As expected, the Tornadoes’ pitching has been its strength, as they’ve allowed more than three runs just twice in nine games. No. 13-3A Anoka (8-1, 6-1) is coming off a double-header sweep of Duluth Denfeld on Saturday, beating the Hunters 8-1 and 9-0. Seven different players had an RBI in the opening game, with Trent Palmer knocking in two on a double. In the second game, Alex Pribyl doubled, tripled and drove in three, while Josh Barker and Titus Bishop combined on a seven-inning one-hitter on the mound.

Robbinsdale Armstrong (6-3, 4-2) jumped on Elk River in its last game, winning 12-2 at home on April 24.
