We would like to invite all WHS baseball players who are available to help with a fall baseball field/facility cleanup on Saturday October 13th from 8am-11:30am. I am hoping it will not take that long, but I would like to get the field winterized so it is ready to be played on right away in the spring. We are very close to completing a very large project that the Homerun Club has paid for and it includes a new turf pitching mound and home plate area along with grass baselines. This is a huge upgrade to our facility and I think it will do a lot to ease the maintenance of our players and coaches after each game. With that project being completed by this week, we have a lot of other things that can be cleaned up and prepared for the winter. Some of the projects that need to get done are rolling up the blue outfield windscreen and tieing it around the top of the fence (so if you have a ladder it would be great to get about 6 of those out there), rebuild bullpen mounds with clay from old game mound, fill in low spots on aglime portion of field, clean up garbage from tennis that is flying around, possibly paint the backside of the pressbox, take down batting cage nets and store for winter, etc. If you have that morning available or a portion of it available we would love ot have you out to help make our facility one of the best in the State of Minnesota. This is really supposed to be for the kids, but of course we always invite parents as well. Even if you are just a supervisor to groups of kids, that is helpful.

Thanks and we hope to see you on Saturday October 13th from 8am-11:30am at the WHS Varsity Baseball Field.

Thanks,

Kevin McDermott
