Player of the Week revealed

Player of the Week winner

Alex Otto, Monticello. The sophomore struck out 13 Big Lake batters in a 3-1 win. Otto pitched seven innings, giving up the one run on two hits.

Player of the Week candidates

Tommy Dolan, St. Thomas Academy. The senior tallied a season-high four RBI in a 8-7 victory over Hill-Murray, going 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Adam Fjerstad, Hayfield. The senior pitcher won a 1-0 decision against Triton, giving up three hits and striking out eight over seven innings.

Matt Haas, Minnetonka. The senior recorded eight of Minnetonka’s 13 RBI in a 13-12 victory over Edina. Haas went 3-for-4 with a double and hit his first two home runs of the season.

Taylor Hagstrom, Stewartville. Hagstrom launched two home runs in a 7-2 win over Triton. The senior finished 3-for-3 with three runs scored, five RBI and a walk.

Alex Houlihan, Benilde-St. Margaret’s. The senior struck out seven while giving up two hits in four innings pitched, helping hold Chanhassen scoreless and earning the 1-0 victory. Houlihan also went 1-for-4 at the plate, driving in the team’s only run.

Carter Howell, Moorhead. In a 8-7 win over Fargo Davies (North Dakota), the senior drove in three runs and went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, a stolen base, and three runs scored.

Will Oberg, Wayzata. Oberg allowed two hits and struck out nine in 5 2/3 innings pitched to earn a 4-2 victory. At the plate, the senior recorded three RBI, hit a home run and drew a walk.

Brodie Smith, Red Wing. The senior tallied three hits, including a triple, and four RBI in a 8-5 win against Austin.

Chris Webber, Southland. The senior struck out 11 batters and held St. Charles hitless in seven innings pitched to earn a 2-0 win.
