May 3

Benilde-St. Margaret’s 4, Richfield 3. No.8-3A Benilde-St. Margaret’s moved to 7-3 with the win against Richfield. The Red Knights scored three runs in the bottom of the third and managed to keep the lead the rest of the game. Matt Murnane went 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Matt Brooks went 1-for-3 with a double. Pitcher Joey Corbett got the win striking out three. Richfield’s Cameron MacNabb went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI, and Chase Androff went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

May 3

Chanhassen 4, Robbinsdale Cooper 3. The Storm scored two runs in the top of the seventh to secure the lead and win. Jordan Bonk led Chanhassen going 1-for-3 with two RBI, and Jack Pries went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a triple. Pitcher Cade Plath earned the win. Martin Spies went 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Hawks, and Zach Thomas contributed with an RBI. Pitcher Andrew Hofhenke had eight strikeouts.

May 4

Adrian 4, Mountain Lake Area 3. Adrian scored a run in the top of the eighth inning to take the lead and the win. Zach Handel led Adrian going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Four players hit doubles for Adrian, and pitcher Alex Loosbrock got the win and struck out 13 batters. Mountain Lake Area scored a pair of runs in the fourth inning to tie the game. Austin Windschitl went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

May 4

Andover 4, Robbinsdale Armstrong 3. Andover’s two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning secured the lead and win for Andover. Gus Rystrom went 1-for-2 with a pair of RBI, and teammate Michael Noga went 1-for-3 with a double. Pitcher Colin Bernard earned the win. Alex Proctor had an RBI for Robbinsdale Armstrong, and Eric Goldman went 2-for-3. Pitcher Mitchell Waletzki had seven strikeouts.

May 5

Minnehaha Academy 7, St. Paul Academy 6. No.2-2A Minnehaha Academy scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to force extras, and proceeded to score two more runs in the bottom of the eighth to win. Pitcher Alexander Jordan had a strong game for the Redhawks going 4-for-5 with a double and four RBI. Jordan also earned the win with two strikeouts. Teammate Alex Evanson contributed with an RBI. The win pushed Minnehaha Academy’s win streak to 11 games. Will Kelly went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI for the Spartans. Tommy Dicke went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base.

May 6

St. Louis Park 5, Wayzata 4. Wayzata scored two runs in the sixth inning, and one in the seventh inning to force extra innings, but St. Louis Park won in the bottom of the eighth. Rley Dvorak went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI for St. Louis Park, and Brent Ryan went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Pitcher Jacob Stillman earned the win. Chad Musser went 2-for-4 with two RBI for No.1-4A Wayzata. Tyler Young went 2-for-4, and pitcher Matthew Urke struck out four.

May 8

Bemidji 9, Brainerd 7. Brainerd’s five run sixth inning wasn’t enough to complete the comeback against the No.4-3A Bemidji. Otto Grimm led Bemidji going 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBI. Sophomore Hunter Olson belted his first home run of the season, and Caleb Carlson went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Malachy Brink led the Brainerd attack going 4-for-4 with two RBI, and Samuel Miller went 2-for-2 with a double and a pair of RBI.

May 9

Rogers 6, St. Michael-Albertville 5. No.6-4A St. Michael-Albertville rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh, but it wasn’t enough for the comeback snapping their 12 game win streak. Roger’s pitcher John Brand held on for the win striking out five batters. Jacob Orwell went 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Jake Moss contributed with an RBI. Jack Fiedler had a game for St. Michael-Albertville going 2-for-4 hitting his third home run of the season and driving in four.
