Studsrud's sixth consecutive multiple-hit game leads BSM's 10-hit attack.

Keaton Studsrud collected three hits and scored two of his team's three runs while Michael Kaminski earned his third consecutive complete-game win of the season as Benilde-St. Margaret's defeated Edina, 3-1.

Dating back to last season, Michael Kaminski has now recorded four consecutive complete-game wins.

Keaton Studsrud collected three hits and scored two of his team's three runs while Michael Kaminski earned his third consecutive complete-game win of the season as Benilde-St. Margaret's defeated Edina, 3-1.

Studsrud had three hits in the game, including a double, and scored runs in the third and fifth innings. During his six-game hitting streak, in which he has recorded multiple hits in each, Studsrud is batting .619 (13-for-21) with three doubles, two triples.

The Red Knights scored all of the runs they would need in the third inning when Nathan Hanks led off with a walk and Studsrud followed with a double down the left-field line. Mikey McGill's ground out plated Hanks and, one out later, Tyler Wyvell singled up the middle to drive in Studsrud.

The Hornets cut the lead in half in the fourth inning as Jack Hunzelman singled and stole second with two out, scoring on Charlie Black's ensuing base hit but BSM got that run back in the top of the fifth.

Studsrud singled and stole second to open the inning and scored when a throw to third, trying to put out Studsrud advancing from second, on McGill's groundball sailed down the left field line.

Meanwhile, Kaminski was cruising down the stretch, retiring nine of the 10 batters he faced after Edina's run in the fourth.

He finished the game with a five-hitter, walking one and striking out five. During his stretch of four complete-game wins, he has worked 29 innings, allowing 11 runs, five of which have been earned, on 31 hits with just six walks while striking out 22. His earned run average during that stretch of games is 1.21.

With the win, BSM is now 9-0, including 3-0 versus Section 6AAA opponents, and returns to play Monday with a 6:30 p.m. game versus North Suburban Conference foe St. Louis Park at Dakota Park.
