More games than days

The wacky spring weather of 2013 has condensed this year’s baseball season like never before. Most teams had few if any outdoor practices throughout much of April.

In a traditional year, teams in Minnesota play two or three games a week. But this season, teams are playing as many as eight games in five days made possible by several doubleheaders. Forest Lake, for example, has played seven games in each of the past two weeks.
