University of Minnesota head baseball coach John Anderson announced that Eden Prairie, Minnesota native Jordan Smith has been accepted to the University of Minnesota and will join the Golden Gopher program next fall.
Smith, a outfielder, is currently a senior with the Eden Prairie Eagles under Gopher alum Mike Halloran. The captain for the Eagles, Smith was a member of EPHS that competed at the 2011 state tournament team. This season, Smith holds a .421 batting average, 15 runs batted and an on-base percentage of .522.
