Huskies extend win streak to 4

Defeat Elk River 5-0

The Huskies beat the Elk River Elks 5-0 in seven innings on Wednesday at Elk River. Brent Stong pitched 5 shutout innings, paving the way for an Andover Huskies win. Stong struck out 10 and gave up just two hits.  Justin Freyholtz put away the final six outs to seal the victory.

Andover scored two runs in the opening frame and never looked back. Logan Quinn lead off with game with a double to right. With one out, Patrick O'Donnell had an infield single, followed by a fly-out to right that allowed Quinn to tag and take third. With Kyle Gausman at the plate O'Donnell stole second. Gausman then lined a two run double to left center.  

Wade Satzinger's RBI single in the 4th made 3-0 and Tyler Evans, who had two extra base hits, homered to left field in the fifth inning with Davis Johnson aboard to put the exclamation mark on the 5-0 victory.
