Strong pitching and timely hitting fuel the win

The top half of the order came through for the Huskies as they defeated the Armstrong Falcons 4-2 at Andover High School on Wednesday afternoon.

Logan Quinn, Davis Johnson, Tyler Evans, and Patrick O'Donnell all had 2 hits to lead the offense for the Huskies. The four accounted for 8 of the Huskies 10 hits. Quinn and Evans each had a double and Quinn scored 3 times in his debut in the lead off spot. Quinn and Johnson scored in the 3rd and Quinn scored again in the 4th and the 6th.

Brent Stong had another very good effort on the hill for the Huskies. Stong matched his season high game strike out total of 13 and surrendered just 2 hits while walking 4.

The Falcons only runs came in the 4th after a pair of walks to start the inning. Nick O'Hara hit a tricky, slicing liner to right that eluded Wade Satzinger allowing Matt Ripka to score from second and Andrew Favaro to move to 3rd. A wild pitch scored Favaro before Stong dialed in and struck out the next three batters.
