Huskies rally late but lose in extras

Blaine manages to squeek out 6-5 win

The Andover Huskies lost 6-5 at Andover High School on Thursday in 9 innings. The Huskies outhit the Bengals 12 to 6 and rallied in the 7th from a 3 run deficit but could not plate the winning run sending the game to extra innings.

Brent Stong had two hits for the Huskies including a 2 run homer to center field in the fourth inning. Patrick O'Donnell had 2 RBI on 2 hits and Kyle Gausman lead the Huskies with 3 hits. Roman Carroll had an RBI and 1 hit and Nick Weeks, Kal Garmaker, Nate Stong, and Wade Satzinger, also had 1 hit each.

The Bengals Davis Bryan got the win in relief for Blaine pitching 2 2/3 innings and allowing no runs. The Bengals were sparked by Alek Minkel and Cole Mortenson, who teamed up for four hits and four RBIs.
