Wayzata at Eden Prairie
6:30 p.m., Friday, May 13

Eden Prairie enters Friday's rematch with familiar foe Wayzata looking to settle a score.

The Trojans recorded an 8-2 victory over the Eagles in a Lake Conference clash on April 15, and Wayzata also defeated Eden Prairie in the Minnesota American Legion D1 state championship this past summer.

While revenge may be a factor, the No. 18-4A Eagles can also look to pitcher Ryan Swanson for help in upending the No. 4-4A Trojans.

Swanson pitched a complete game in a 6-5 win over No. 7-4A Edina on May 6, helping Eden Prairie (6-5, 1-3) secure the season's first league victory and extending a winning streak to four games - the Eagles' longest of the year.

After taking two losses in the end of April, Wayzata (8-2, 3-1) has rebounded with two shutout victories, including one over No. 19-4A Hopkins. Trojans pitcher Thomas Skoro struck out eight and gave up one hit in six innings to record the win in the 5-0 victory over the Royals.

Skoro also clinched the title by pitching the final four innings to seal Wayzata's 6-5, 12-inning victory over Eden Prairie at the legion tournament.
