Woodbury at Cretin-Derham Hall
4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 11

After suffering its first loss of the season to Cretin-Derham Hall on April 20, Woodbury needs a win on the Raiders’ diamond to stay in contention for the Suburban East Conference title.

The No. 11-4A Royals (11-3, 8-3) will turn to their offense to pull out a win in the rematch. Woodbury relied on some timely hitting to rally from deficits of four runs or more to win two of three games last week.

Cretin-Derham Hall (11-2, 9-2) ended its undefeated run following back-to-back losses last week. The No. 1-4A Raiders' once-stingy defense gave up 5.5 runs in the defeats after allowing just 1.33 runs per game during its 10-game winning streak, including its 3-1 victory over the Royals in their first matchup.

Mercer commit Jordan Ammons had the game's only extra-base hit, an RBI double in the top of the fifth inning, to clinch the game. Woodbury ace Max Meyer allowed five hits in the loss.
