Mahtomedi went 24-3 and last season, winning the Metro East Conference in the process. The Zephyrs return just six players from last season’s state tournament team, but 7-foot Kentucky recruit Sean Hjelle gives the Zephyrs a dominant force on the mound. 
Henry Sibley knows how to play close with teams, as the Warriors had four of their 11 losses decided by just one run last season. Junior infielder Charlie Hesse played in the Minnesota Preseason All-State Showcase, and junior pitcher Sam Pressman was named All-Conference honorable mention last season for the Warriors.
