Kasson-Mantorville at Cannon Falls
5 p.m., Tuesday, April 22

Kasson-Mantorville's big Class 2A showdown against Holy Family Catholic last week was posted to April 28, but the defending Class 2A state champion KoMets have no shortage of talented opponents on their schedule. Kasson-Mantorville is 6-1 after beating Pine Island and Byron, each by one run, in its last two outings. Wade Starkey leads the KoMets with 12 hits, and Austin Yeigh has yet to allow a hit in 5 2/3 innings of work. Cannon Falls sits directly behind the KoMets in the Hiawatha Valley standings with a 5-1 record. Among the Bombers' top hitters are Bryce Boyle-Hoban and Jonathan Sharot with seven each. Levi Prestegard has allowed two hits and one run in 7 1/3 innings.
