The KoMets won the state Class 2A championship last year with an 8-1 victory over Perham. All-tournament picks  Riley Donovan, Jayden Prigge and Joey Hyde all graduated, but senior Collin Ripley returns after belting two hits in the title game. Kasson-Mantorville is already off to a 4-1 start. Holy Family Catholic beat New London-Spicer 4-1 in its opener, as Will Rickett and Brent Hentges each had two hits and Conner Herd struck out 12 in a six-inning two-hitter.
